Majority of the Malaysian parents who sent their children to the Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina in Malaysia the hopeful parents who prefer to let their children to adapt to the stringent Chinese education culture besides learning about Mandarin language.

The deeply rooted Chinese tradition among the Malaysian ethnic Chinese has a common saying, “ No matter how poor we are, we shall never be poor on education spending” Which literally means that Malaysian Chinese parents are willing to be poor for the sake of their children’s education.

This is a very positive paradigm that reveals the values of education within the Malaysian Chinese societies as their utmost priority to enhance the life quality of their future generation.

The strong attributes of the Malaysian Chinese culture on educational values had been widely abused by the educationist opportunists in the form direct and indirect exploitations via the commercialization of the SRJK Cina institutional frame works through a series of re-conceptualization of the monopolistic corrupted practices endorsed by SRJK Cina headmaster association through the Parent Teacher Associations.

Malaysian government had granted free education policies to her citizen. All students were granted book loans in addition to the many financial aids program for the poor families.

However, the practices in the SRJK Cina in the competitive Klang valley have added an average of RM 1,400 per year per students to the parents’ burden this have not include incidental extra tuition outside school compounds.

The major cost components are the parents’ contribution for tuition and computer class in additional to the purchase of tuition reference books.

The contribution proceed of the PTA organized tuition class is the biggest source of finance most PTA received in the SRJK Cina system. These uses of such contributions are to finance the tuition activities, extra co-curricular activities, subsidize school utilities bills, school up-keep maintenance, scholarship award, besides sponsoring event that enhances the motivation of teachers and students.

Privatization of the Computer Classes in the SRJK system has created vast opportunities of illicit activities that lead to the serious violation of Ministry of Education guidelines and the by-law of the PTA constitution.

The SRJK Cina headmaster will often introduce the private computer class vendors to PTA committee members that follow by the signing of service Contract to conduct class under the umbrella of PTA functional educational activities.

The SRJK Cina Headmasters will normally ask the PTA Chairman to sign the Computer class agreement with the computer class vendors without mentioning about the PTA guidelines that prohibit PTA to enter into any contract with any vendors.

Are the headmasters having any direct or indirect interests with these computer class companies?

The SRJK Cina Headmaster also openly ignores the directive of the Director General of Education by creating the computer time table with the defined school teaching hours.

Are the headmasters totally ignorance of the PTA by-law and the Directive from the director general of the education department?

Why the headmasters are are ready and willing to defraud their tour of duties as an educational administrators?

Why so many headmasters choose to go against the higher authorities’ directive and written guidelines?

Is there such an organized group behind such an open violation of the ruling by the ministry of education?

Is it the SRJK Cina Headmaster Association behind this illicit strategies planning with the blessing of the Ministry of Education top brass?

Why no drastic actions taken by the Ministry of Education against these unprofessional headmasters?

The cost of computer class fees in Setapak area, Kuala Lumpur ranged from RM 7 to RM 11 per month.

Taking into RM 4 per student per month kick back to corruption chain, The 53,181 Wilayah Persekutuan SRJK Cina students had paid out RM 2.34 million to the corruption chain involved in the illegal computer class activities in the school.

The average graft paid out to the 41 Wilayah Persekutuan SRJK Cina is about RM 57,000 per year per school. The beneficiaries of such graft are yet to be determined by the MACC investigation, if such investigations ever take place.

The chain effects of such violations untouched by Education Ministry had lead to even more serious rampant abuses of the " Yellow Tag " reference books which carry up to 40% discount kick back to the corrupted system via a third party companies.

Forced consumption of RM 150 per year on Tuition class reference book in Wilayah persekutuan alone has created an estimated kick back of nearly RM 3.92 million shared among the 41 SRJK Cina corruption chains.

The Wilayah Persekutuan Parents paid RM 77,825 extra to each SRJK Cina corruption system. Minimum graft received per school is estimated at RM 138,000

What has Ministry of Education and MACC done about it? Has any Member of Parliament dare to speak out on this open corrupted secret in the parliament?

The illicit corruption among the 41 SRJK Cina in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur is significant enough to cause public outcry of no more affordable SRJK Cina education!

God have mercy on the SRJK Cina parents!
