Malaysia’s economy is not expected to recover as long as the global economy is not showing any tangible sign of a turnaround, said Tan Sri Dr Lin See Yan.

The Malaysian Insider 17/4/09 melaporkan, "Najib said he understood that the business community still had some concerns on the effectiveness of the economic revival plans.

He said ACCCIM President Tan Sri William Cheng had told him that the business environment was still dictated by poor performance and uncertainties".

RM60 bilion? Ambik ni:

The RM7 billion in the first package (Nov'08) was deemed to be insufficient to counter the deepening crisis. Although the second package appears larger, the actual direct spending is only RM15 billion (or 25% of total) to be spent over a two-year period. Other measures introduced are in the form of loan guarantees, investment through Khazanah and tax incentives. The loan guarantees will only work if there is demand from businesses, which is lacking at this point of time (MIER Malaysian Economic Outlook 1st quarter 2009)
