Dalam berita bertajuk "Khalid slams Khalid's stance," antara lain Malay Mail melaporkan:

In an exclusive interview with Malay Mail, Khalid described how his working relationship with the administration today is not as it is supposed to be.

He explained that he used to have a better understanding with the previous State government, which he described as being more concerned when it came to crime prevention. He said more effort was shown previously, and the State government then was more approachable and open to opinions and suggestions by the police.

Khalid said he has had only one meeting so far with the current Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim since the power switch after the March 8, 2008, general election and expressed his hope to have more discussions and be taken more seriously.

Selepas itu, dalam berita bertajuk "Wake up, Khalid," akhbar itu melaporkan:

"As far as the State government is concerned, we take crime very seriously. We try to cooperate with the police in every manner possible. When it comes to police functions, we get involved.

"Why doesn’t he, instead of complaining, ask to see the MB?" the Selangor Menteri Besar’s political secretary, Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, said.

Dan, dalam berita bertajuk "Top cop passing the buck," akhbar itu memetik Ketua Penerangan PKR Selangor, Datin Dr Tan Yew Kew sebagai berkata:

Khalid should not try to pass the buck to the Selangor MB or the State government when the police fail to curb crime and there is a public outcry of police high-handedness and brutality in dealing with the public.
